Following the rigorous Phase II pasteurization and conditioning process, the substrate is inoculated with high-purity spawn (Sylvan A15, Amycel Heirloom, or customer-specified strains) under strict hygiene protocols. It is then moved to our incubation tunnels, where it undergoes a 16-day colonization regime.
During this period, we manipulate the environmental parameters – temperature, relative humidity, and CO2 concentration – to optimize the thermogenesis of the mycelium.
The result is a substrate where the Agaricus mycelium has completely colonized the lignocellulosic matrix.
